    A missed shift can kill flywheel bolts too.

    Or he just got as far as the flywheel to realise it was that and not bearings.
    Ended up being Loose flywheel bolts and bearings, he just noticed the flywheel bolts were loose when taking off the crank.

    The bolts were loose. I cleaned everything really well to make sure the mating faces were as clean as possible.
