3500 sounds about right when mine was stock, better cooler and exhaust would help abit, best solution is to get rid of them and go single.![]()
What rpm would you expect to have full boost by in a 1ggte??? (Standard)
I have just bought an RA65 with a 1ggte in it, & it seems reallly laggy for such small turbos.....the boost isn't coming on until between 3500rpm & 4000rpm !!!
I was told by a local tuner that it doesn't come on until this rpm, and that there wasn't any real way to remedy this...
Could someone clarify whether this is correct, and if it isn't, how to overcome it??
thanks

I have owned a stock car (ga70) with nothing more than a cat back exhaust for a few years now, and I am sure that it starts to come on boost by 2000rpm, and is on full boost at 3000-3500rpm. Although I have to admit that it has been along time since I have driven the car so I could be mistaken.
Positive pressure by early 3's then full boost by late 3's is standard for a 1ggte. They really benefit from newer turbo tech turbos.

depends what gear your in..
2nd at ~3000 rpm
3rd at ~2500 rpm
for my stock 1ggte back in the day.
what the admiral said is my general belief from the time i spent with a stock turbo 1g in my ke70, the more load it had the earlier it will spool obviously

1 bar is fine, they run crazy rich anyway. Full boost by 3300 on stockos, my experience.
