I'm in the planning stages of wiring up my Adaptronic E420c to my GZE AW11. Initially I was going to make a patch loom and retain an original untouched wiring loom.
But I decided that because of the default setting for sequential injection and my need/want for waste spark ignition, I bought the 2 metre loom instead.
So the question is about the best, most reliable and noise proof was of connecting the Adaptronic to the CAS?
Simply cut the wires and attach the new loom to the old and try to get the sheilding braid of each loom to join?
Or run the new CAS wiring all the way to the CAS plug near the front right of the engine, and try and salvage the pins from said plug?
While I'm asking, is there any reference to which pin is reset 2 and reset 1 in the 4 pin CAS plug?
http://adaptronic.com.au/forum/index.php?topic=2716.0 :3. I'm not sure which diagram you're following or which sensor you have; I'm assuming it is the 24+1+1 sensor. There are 4 wires - one common ground at one end of the plug (white wire in the Toyota loom, from memory), then you have reset 2, reset 1, and the 24tooth trigger last (NE signal). You really need all 3 to be wired up to the ECU. Connect the common ground to the wire CAS wire on the loom (goes to pin B4 on the 16-pin plug), the NE signal (24 tooth) to CAS reluctor 1 (black internal wire of the shielded cable, B11), reset 1 to the CAS reluctor 2 (red internal wire, B3) and reset 2 to CAS reluctor 3 (yellow wire, B10).

buy new crimp pins to suit the CAS plug etc and run new wires the whole way.
can get terminals from both these places:
