    Default 1.5JZ stock 1J ecu?

    G'day guys,
Havn't been able to find anything on this, only for the 2jzge bottom end, I'm going to be using a 2jzgte bottom end, this is a bit easier right? I was just wondering if the stock ecu will still run it? I'v got a single turbo on and it was running it ok (rich as buggery but meh still safe) maybe with a fcd adjustable boost and an safc if required. Will this work alright?

Also could i just bolt my manifolds to the 2jzgte head? Would there be any benefit to this? I'v heard that they flow better, but that's not necessarily going to make any more power due to a velocity drop if I'm not mistaken?

    Cheers,
    Wes

An emanage would prbly be better than SAFC as it can also do ignition, but regardless it all sounds pretty ghetto and I suspect you will have must better gains with a proper aftermarket ECU

No you can't bolt 1JZ manifold to a 2JZ, hence why most people go down the 1.5JZ route, so they can keep their 1JZ manifolds etc and get an extra 500cc in the event of an engine issue.
