Broken or dislodged hose between the AFM and intake?
(Edit, check your engine mounts as well, esp the one near the oil filter.)
my 98' avvy was running great, a car came up behind me really fast. i punched it, it downshifted 2 gears, started to take off real good then died! now, it'll start right up, but immediately die. idle w.o.t it makes no difference. W.T.F!! the main fuel pump relay clicks and clicks again after 2 seconds, the engine turns over 3-4 revolutions then fires right up then immediately dies. over and over again. it's entirely predictable

thanks for the tips, i went over the motor with a fine tooth comb, checked the resistance values for all supporting sensors, checked main efi relay, fuel pump circuit relay, and double checked the motor mounts and the wiring to the engine a 3rd time when i found it! the tang tab on coil over plug #1 wiring harness is broken off (they're real brittle from the heat i suppose) i pushed the connector back on all the way and the motor hit and runs great! now, short of clipping off salvage yard connectors and soldering them back on(color code correct of course) for now i think i'll cut a short piece of shrink tubing large enough to slide over the coil nib and connector and shrink the two together. if i have to remove a coil pack i'll just trim the shrink wrap back with a razor knife and cut a new piece when i reconnect the harness. thanks for being patient
