Back to tuning, seems the spark table I've been using is shit.
People recommend running upwards of 45deg ignition at high RPM........... not in my table lol

Only place I've ever seen that much timing is on over run. I think the table on my Handi runs as much as about 40 degrees in said areas.

No doubt people running that much are using funky fuels on funky motors

Think I might take some inspiration from others and add some more

Anyone got any recommended settings for cold start and warmup?
At the moment I've got most of it disabled and what's left is for a 4AGE 16v running a manifold.

Car starts fine as it is but it idles pretty rough and low untill it warms up, if you crack the throttle it will stall.
Runs sweet when its hot, perfect!

try something like 10-15% more fuel in the warmup bins up to 50deg??
a bit more TPS enrichment when cold?

start from cold and add as it warms up, then repeat next day

Yeah I think I'm going to have to make an effort early one morning, its started getting cold-ish now
I just need to be able to get it drivable from the get go, not having to sit in the car for 5 minutes waiting for it to warm up.

Think I'm going to have to crack the throttles open a bit more, idle is about 900rpm when hot which is not great for starting up.

Can you also do some stuff like retarded timing at high MAP, no decel fuel cut? Increased idle speed is an obvious entry as well.

    Hi,

I need a hand getting this megasquirt to work again. Composite/tooth logger isn't showing anything on input. It's wired properly because I can see the squarewave coming in (nissan optical using 5v pull up off proto area through 1k resistor) at tachselect and get a squarewave at tsel on the but the squarewave coming out of there is only around 3.6v for some reason. Pots are configured properly (full anticlockwise for both then trigger (R56) adjusted to 2.5v at the sweeper) but I don't think this would affect the output voltage of the final opamp.

the MS3x board has the signal going straight into PT4 as per install so this signal should be showing up on composite logger but it hasn't been there. I'll try again using tooth logger.

Any ideas on what I should check?

I did. Didn't get much help there. Just got told to move the hi res. signal from CAM_IN to PT4. Which didn't make a difference, which it should have. Still need to go play around with the loggers more now that the battery is charged again.

My way of looking at it is, the final stage of that circuit IIRC is a comparator. That should give me 5v output as long as the input is higher than the set point and the supply voltage to the op-amp is 5v. Which is one thing I should check. Otherwise it's a fried op-amp (need to switch the to vroutinv anyway) or a bad solder joint showing a voltage drop, which it could be since the ms has sat for two years. Seems suspect to me that it's 1.4v away from what it should be (2 transistors).

Anyway, the megasquirt's on the back-burner for now since I need the car running so I ended up buying a V44 for cheap and will use that to get the car running and tuned and play with the ms later when I have time or use it on the other car.

The problem is on the v3 board. Can't figure out why the final stage won't raise the voltage to 5v.

You still on that ancient v2.2 board with the lm1815 based circuit?

In other news, apparently I gotta remove r1 off the ms3 board to use pt4 as an input or re-route the input through to JS10.
