Mate what the misses doesn't know wont hurt her!
You should of had a run in it, would of been awesome to see a crown running down the 1/4 mile!!
Hello again
I arrived at 3pmdamn locusts!
Of the action I saw, I think the quickest car there (at the time) was a red LH Torana, ran in the 10 second range. Bad luck to the few cars that experienced drivetrain failures too.
It was good to catch up with you guys again
PS. I was asked about potentially racing the Crown today: it is basically forbidden by the Missus, account of "spending so much money on it"; and I'd reserve such potential activities for the S112 Crowns I have.
Cheers,
Brendon
Edit: Crikey Justin, just beat me to the post!![]()

I sort of concur with the Missus though.I tend to paint this as the nice quiet Cruiser. I am tempted to know just how fast she can go in a straight line... Have to weigh up potentially sleeping alone for a month...
As I said, I reckon I'd rather make one of S112 Crowns go fast if I were to have a go at it. Nobody would expect it
Cheers,
Brendon
Ed and i decided to take it easy and turned up at around midday in his scooby.
The locusts were definitely out in force. They were the first ones i had seen and i understand how much of an issue they must be.
Peter had pretty much packed up by the time we arrived so we were left watching the GT4, MR2, Hilux, Fairmont and STi wagon.
It was great to see the MR2 doing decent times down the quarter and nice to meet you Justin, although i don't think i ever properly introduced myself.
Hopefully next time we'll get a bigger turnout, i had expected more TCCA members this time.
Oh, and we saw Oscar coming in the gate as we were leaving.

Yeah he nailed his dial your own time category. Nominated 15.8 and ran them all day bar the first run.

Haha what a great day it was. I loved fanging the stock Lux down the quarter and as a first timer I learnt a heap. Highlight for me was scoring a run down the quarter in Justin's MR2. Fantastic little pocket rocket and thanks to Justin for letting me weigh him down![]()
