if its anything like the 1G, you need ign, cons, ground direct to the ecu than there are 1or2 other wires in the engine bay to power the injectors and something else (its been 12months since i did mine). get a wiring diagram and try to trace your main power wires from + to the ecu.
Mine had a M-rel too that needed ign power aswell.

The W58 will be fine as long as you are gentle (no flat shifting). I'm pushing 487rwhp through mine and its still going strong.

That said I'm sure its my complete lack of traction that is stopping the W58 from turning into metallic confetti. But then again, if you've somehow got it mated to the transfer case, then traction is going to be the least of your worries.

ok so ive hit another wall now, i used a 7mgte flywheel and just redrilled the holes for the non turbo clutch but now the pressure plate just touchs the side of the bellhousing where it curves toward the gearbox anyone got any ideas at all?

I would have thought the 18R one would have an external regulator
On the alternator 1 wire goes to ignition 1 goes to 12v and one goes to the warning lamp

From memory on mine, the thick black wire goes to the post, the white wire goes to the post aswell which goes to your battery, I think the thin black is ignition and can't remember the yellow, I did the same conversion. I deleted the external regulator because couldn't be used with the loom
I used a r154 bellhousing and a early lux bellhousing and got it cut and shut shortened 30mm, used the 7mgte flywheel redrilled it and got a 7mge exedy heavy duty full face clutch, used the clutch fork and holes and shit off of the lux setup. But I used a r150f box which is the same setup as a r154 with the pattern, alot bigger/stronger than a g52
Here are a few pics of the bellhousing etc

It was a tight fit aswell

And this is what it's all in

Alot of fucking around but was worth it, have had it on the road for abotu a week, so if you wanna wanna ask or know anything throw me a pm, I'll see if I can help
