    Default 7mgte in a hilux

hey ive just finished rebuilding my 7mgte to standard specs except pistons which are ceramic coated and 20 thou oversize, just waiting on the bellhousing to suit w58 box i have in the lux, and just wondering how much boost can i run and wat sort of power levels am i looking at with the setup, i got an electronic boost controller, top mount cooler with thermos on it, lexus afm, apexi safc, bosch 044 pump, and a tial rising rate reg, the hilux is 4x4 and i have the 8" diffs with air lockers going in back and front, also has a custom 1pce tailshaft with oversize uni joints, im hoping to have it going next week to start running it in but havent done much with turbos always owned blown v8's, any advise would be great, cheers

I assume you are using the original g52 box ? (same bellhousing as w58 I believe)
I would say its the weakest link in your setup, may not take too much punishment before it lets go.

    Sounds awesome though. PICS !!!

I would run about 12-13 psi and take it very easy on the gearbox as enchanter said it will be your weak link.
Power would probably be around 300rwhp.

the lux itself is 81 but the dash and seats are from a 92 hilux surf fits straight in just sorting out the instrument cluster i just found some 35s for it too, hoping it will be a bit of an animal theres a few guys that live in albany that think that thier standard skyline is the fastest car in town so it would be epic to beat them in a 4x4 hilux haha

Nice work, I think around the 280 to 300 odd RWHP should be doable with around 12 PSI.
I'm very curious to see how the W58 mates up with the transfer case, as normally people have to stick with the original G52 (or assume G42 in your case). Any chance of some details of the swap?

Awsome hilux, might need to look at airflow to radiator when the hot motor goes in, if its making the horses it eating the chaff and making the heat.
    Gl with it!
