You can get aluminum extrusion for making custom rails. You tap a thread in each end for the fuel in and out and, just need to get a couple of tags welded to the rail to mount it down properly.

If you need 1000cc injectors, an oversize rail is probably on the cards anyhow, guessing E85?

yea i have the extrusion in the garage, alas my tig welder is only dc..... but the standard 4a rail isnt a bad bit of gear so i figured id give that a go first. i saw the 1d1000 adaptors but they are also designed to space the 48mm id series injectors to a more common 60mm length. thats 12mm id have to space the rail. i was hoping to do it a little shorter than that. any way i guess the best option for me is turning the injectors down.........

oh yea, e85 is the reason im putting 1000cc injectors on a 1600cc motor!

aren't the stock 4a inj's that length? the id1000's with the adapeter are the same size as 7mgte 440cc's and i thought they were the same style as the 4a's?

i've possibly misunderstood but the way i see it, the ID's are 57.3mm then with the adapters they are 68.1 which brings them to the same length as 3s/4a/7m top feed lengths?

i measured my 7mgte inj's and top to bottom they are 71mm

Time to find someone with a lathe if your having no luck. I'd design them so that 2AZ rail spacers whcich are 10mm longer than a 4AGE would work. Either that or send me your rail extrusion and I'll tig the ends shut for you for cost of the postage
