    bit of a bump,

grabbed some custom built spacers by jack baker tyrepower.

15mm on the front, 20mm on the rear. Theyre hubcentric, and they have a lip on the spacer so my volks locate onto the spacer.

excuse the dodgy photos, the last one is all dark, and the car was half sitting in a ditch

sorry to bring up an old thread but i came across a problem installing my new rims tonight and i'd thought i'd check something.

im putting some SSR MKI's (brake boilers) on my soarer with the SR20DET brake set up

    SSR Backspace depth is 5mm
S13 depth from mounting face to outer edge of cailper is 10mm
The bolt contact i have had so far has been 16.5mm (not enough so i found out)
The S13 wheel studs are also 42 long, sholder of 14 and dia of 13 odd.

so was thinking of getting some 49mm long wheel studs as i need to replace them anyway (with toyota thread hopefully)

the question is, could i run a 6mm thick slip on with out too much worrie about keeping them hub centric or is that on the outer reaches?

short answer = yes and no.

you can get away with a 6mm spacer not being hubcentric but it is best not to.

you can get the longer studs you need with 12x1.5 thread but im not sure on the P/N as i havn't ordered them in a while.

can you get someone to make you a hubcentric ring to suit the extra width and have it pressed into the 6mm spacer?

    cheers

im thinking this will only be temp. ive read around the place 5mm is the limit, and espically on the front it cant be the best.
