    I bought a steam cleaner off ebay for about 30 bucks. I can't say whether it works for tint, but it definitely was helpful in cleaning up hard to reach places. Just because they're cheap doesn't mean they don't work.

    These guys use a citrus based glue disolver.

    FWIW I always have a bottle of "De-Solv-it" a citrus based cleaner in my car cleaning kit (small wheelie bin) it comes in handy for removing glue residue left behind when various stickers are removed.

    In the same kit, I also have a bottle of rubbing alcohol, perfect for cleaning an area that has to have something stuck to it.
