    Default W5# identification

Is the W58 the only W series with a steel centre plate?
    This for sale locally:

Any help identifying the box would be appreciated.
    Oh yeah it's advertised as a W56

    no

i have had a W55 with a steel sandwitch plate (from a GA70) and have seen a W58 with an alloy sandwitch plate (from a MA61)

only way to be 100% is to check the ratios
    - ma61 + 2jz-gte + v160 + 3.5 torsen

Steel sandwich plate just means its post 1987(ish).

As rob said, ratio check is the ONLY way.

If that crossmember is the original, its definitely not Supra/Celica/etc.
