    Ryan,
Just had a look at the Varex site and took some measurements. I have a full 3 inch system on my TA22, so its a very tight fit. I don't think I can fit the varex unit without it sitting down too far.

Now thinking of buying a resonator, see this pic.

These are about $100 on ebay, are 14 inches long and 4 inch diameter, thinking of fitting this up front around where the gearbox cross member is and keeping my rear turbo muffler, hoping it will reduce the noise enough...

resonators don't really do much for max volume..

you should really give Craig a call he really knows what he is on about..

i belive your best off throwing that genie muffler in the bin in favor of a decent supercat offset center... and fit a 'hot dog' resonator midway to help with some drone/rasp..

Thats a bugger about the clearance, not really an issue on my work car.

    Best of Luck,

    Kind Regards,

In my opinion the larger diameter and longer the muffler is, the more sound deadening capabilities it has.
Also in my experience usually the cheapies don't do as good of a job in bringing down dBs like the well known brands and some Jap brands (but it may not always be the case??)

Since you haven't got much clearance underneath I would suggest a large oval mid muffler/resontor. I know with so many chioces out there and a few different ways of bringing noise down it can be hard to choose which way you'll go but either way goodluck with it all.
