    Default 1GGTE - AFM upgrade

I’m looking to replace my 1GGTE factory AFM with something better, looking around there are two alternatives which I found
    1) The hot-wire mass air-flow sensor.
    2) The Karmen vortex type air-flow sensor.

I wanted something which is not to expensive and commonly available
Here is a new sensor which I think is a vortex type sensor but still need the pipe work.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LEXUS...Q5fAccessories I have seen these elsewhere for $US19.00
I know the signal outputs are different and a convert is needed, also keeping the factory ECU.
Just wanted to know what other people have done and if it was an improvement?

    and any recommendations?

cant say about using hot wire or karmen vortex, but if you have no luck you could hunt around for an old hks vpc to convert it to map or there is also the map ecu piggy back if you found one cheap enough then you get some switchable outputs aswell.
