WTF have i done? 7m AFM...fitted a pod...now wont run.....
hey guys,
afm piss me off to start with,.....
removed thje old air filter n box off the cressi n fitted a pod, all just bolted up fine....
i removed the plug on the afm to have a look and looks like the 1g afm,....
so put iut together, went for a drive, now its stalling/wont start, only drove it 200 mtrs and now its stalling
if i unplug the afm it will idle like normal...then stall after bout 15seconds......
tried the 1ggte afm and the same thing it will fire over then stall....
what have i done?....have i fucked the afm?somehow?

possibly a loose wire in the connector. Or that there is vaccum lines on the old Inlet setup that are now removed?

no vacuum lines on there....
tried wiggling the clip, no avail,.....wiring...cant see any loose,

What else did you do on it today?
Degrease anything?
Check your plugs maybe they are fouled.

Air temp sensor? No idea if it could cause the symptoms, but they're usually attached to air filter boxes, so if that's been ripped out and a pod put in place things might go iffy.

well i just sparayed soem terminal contact stuff on to it and it made it run....
rev...buit not rev cleanly...\
now it will start..... and idle/ hunt up n down. .........but wont rev again...
hmmmm 1jz time!

had a lokk at the old air box.... nothing on it/ sensors..clips.....nuthing...
all i really did was unplug the afm...
oh,.... and the check engine lite it on aswell....

clean up the teminals and look for loose connections in the AFM plug!

Are you running the standard ecu and does it have a diagnosis program?
Maybe check the error codes to narrow it down to the afm.

Is it a flap-type AFM or a hot-wire?
If it's hot-wire then I know why.
(And can fix with drinking straws ....)
