    Default 3vze vs 1mzfe flywheels

Hi all, i'm after a lightweight flywheel for my rwd 1mzfe setup.

I currently am using a 3vze flywheel from a v6 4runner. I don't want to make any changes to offset ring gear etc as all working well. But there is a distinct lact of off the shelf lightweight flywheels for a 4wd. Whereas the 1mzfe has aftermarket options.

Obviously the 1mzfe flywheel will bolt up.. but trying to determine the other stuff.. Ring gear would need to be reversed as normally the starter comes in from the other side.

But anyway, any ideas on the differences and if i'd be in or out of luck?
    Cheers

Both clutch discs are listed as the same size:
    Clutch Size: 236x21x29.0mm
    Flywheel Step: +.5mm/.020"
Kits are different part numbers though:
    1MZ KTY24006HD
    3VZ KTY24005HD
Could be just the release bearing.

Have you considered using the Fidanza 4kg flywheel for the 1MZ/2GR? If there is an alignment issue with the ring gear and starter motor, you could always use a spacer on the starter to align it back, I've seen this on a 1MZ conversion somewhere before.

Yeah mate that's what I'm trying to work out where I could get specs on a 1mz flywheel to compare again 3vze. Just want to make sure it sits in a similar position etc.

I would be hesitant about using a Fidanza Alu flywheel. After my little incident and posting it online ive been pretty inundated by people messaging me and posting in my threads saying they have had similar issues.

I picked up a replacement CroMo flywheel from Xtreme. Its not as good as the ARC one i had, but its damn close.
