Hybrid turbos, that is machining out the stock housings and putting some gt28 garret ballbearing cores in them. 270rwkw plus. Keeps lag away and gives ballbearing goodness! Just aks Manny, Justin, Shom Reepa on SC forum.
2j turbos put onto 1jz manifolds, not done succesfully to my knowledge as the 2jz is sequential and when converted to the 1j is run in paralell with extra lag thrown in as an added bonus. That is its been done but the results have not been worth while.
Nissan t28 turbos, cheap replacement ability , good for 220-240 easy , but then why bother as the stockies will do that!
so boost those ceramics to 14psi and enjoy. Then a gt30R slapped on or bite the bullet and go the hybrids, they drive well, with linear power. But you probably want that ball tearing burst of BOOST that a big single slaps onto you.
