I recently got a hold of a 872A wade cam for the intake of a 4AGE 16v, Because these were second hand I did not get the normal cards you get to tell you were to set it.
Has anyone bought one of these cams or has the specs on what they should be set at? I have found a card for the HKS cams (suit my exhaust cam) but can't find any Wade ones, I am guessing not as popular on the world market
hope somebody can help me.
cheers

hopefully thats what I want, I am not truely sure yet as I am still very confused about how I go about timing them exactly, I really don't understand all the terms and measurments and where they come from, and to etc.
Thanks

Normally you can do anything the quick way or the proper way!
With a cam or in this case cams you can establish top dead center on number 1 cylinder and install the timing belt/chain with the cams in the factory recommended positions. Usually there will be marks to line up etc.
The proper method is to find TDC with a dial indicator gauge and mount a degree wheel on the crank and going through the steps on the cam card you verify the cam open and close figures are happening at the correct crankshaft degrees etc. Sometimes the cam manufacturer will state that the cam needs to be set at say 3 degrees advanced - more often than not in my experience the cam manufacturer will have ground their cam to be set at 0 however.
If you have adjustable cam gears then I'd start with them at the '0' position so the cam is installed as per factory then maybe start playing with them as the tune progresses.
Cheers,
