I don't have an account here but my father has pointed me at this asking what i can make of it.

After reading the thread over and seeing your last post millsi the wiring issues would have contributed but now with the above done you should be fine there.

The new cooler should bring you down to a 1.5-1.7 drop which isn't too bad, with a turbo of this size it really isnt getting up to a proper spool at 10psi, the gt42r will struggle to run anything below around 15 psi. Currently you are essentially getting it half up to pace and spitting the rest out, on the graph you can see the turbo start to get some pressure going around the 3 grand mark, thats fine to get your 10psi, but above that is when it really gets up and going, and supplying a solid flow to the motor.

Running it on 10psi i'm really not suprised at such low figures (even without the now rectified voltage issues), the i/c drop would have contributed mildly. But you really can't try tune it and expect it to behave right when its just dumping it's power.

Your next problem is those plugs, even as a copper plug they really arn't designed for the type of application, and given they are now a discontinued plug, i wouldn't bother tuning in on them as you will encounter issues at your next plug change down the line.

    Mark.

running a gt42 at 10 psi is like trying to have a shag with 1/3rd and erection. its just not going to perform well is it.

you need a smaller turbo if you want to run such a low amount of boost. that trbo comes into its effiency range around 20 psi. your a long way short. on the bright side that turbo will breath well until 40 psi

i maybe should have updated this.

turns out there was a problem with the map sensor line not fitting snugly over the input which also may have been contributing.

with the new manifold and cooler it picked up 50rwhp without any other changes. it is a bit more laggy now though

took it for a tune and decided to throw 20psi at it. made 380rwkw which i was pretty happy with.

has since run 11.8@130 mph and it weighs 3400 with me in it. need 500rpm more stall to get some boost on the line.

lambo, lots of people run these plugs in boosted applications.
