Toymods Dyno Day 13 - Sunday, July 2nd

Well I had a good day, enjoyed seeing everyone again, and was pleased to see the standard of engine builds continuing to rise to new levels.

Yesterday's run on the dyno confirmed my fears that the stock ECU is a piece of fucking rubbish with the consistency of a woman's styling decisions - in the first run it was a little lean at ~13.5:1 AFR, but on the second run it was leaned out to 14.5:1 and climbing......
.... of course a ping or two later and the run was stopped.


I will be building that Megasquirt-2 a lot faster now.

Hell yes!

After being lucky enough to drive the beast again i can confirm there is heaps more mid range and not quite as doughy off the line as before with a very similar top end.

Jumped into rona's p00 powered vehicle to discover that yes, has more bottom end, but lacks the top end of the 2j.

So all in all, wayne has picked up a stack of mid range torque, still behind the 7m's delivery, but the 2J has the top end go. 20rwkw or so more!

I was suprised with rona's power mine made 108 as a stock 7M a few years ago I thought with ECU it would of made more than y stocker did.

Love it also love the fact that depsite being so powerful the car is so tastefully modded, nothing over the top except for maybe the engine .
