MS85 Crown and an Electric pump/fan

Has anyone ever fitted a Davies Craig electric water pump and fan to a 2.6 litre 4M Crown engine and does anyone know how many litres per minute does the 4M Crown engine give out.

mate id honeslty leave the mechanical water pump there, it does its job well, and will be a lot more reliable than an electric.
Also think about, are you going to overload your generator...the ones of the 4m are a generator (not alternator) and dont give a lot back to the battery in the way of current. So fitting a complete electric cooling system may suck up too much power.
Having said that, i am pretty sure you can get aftermarket (bosch?) alternators to replace the 4m generator, which will give you more charge.

In short, id leave the water pump but remove the fan and replace with an electric, id say about a 14". Follow witzl's thread on here about wiring up thermofans.

I've got two electric fans on mine. One 14" and one 16". i think just the 16" would be fine if not for the air cond.

I don't know why you would want to though?

The original fan, if it is in good condition, will pull more air than an electric fan. I only did mine with electric for convenience sake with the engine conversion.

Plus, the original water pump is fine on the M engines. The only reason I can see to change to electric water pump is if you need room for a masive intercooler or similar.
