    Default carbed 4age breather?

    Quick Q for a mate.
He has a 4age in ae71 running redline manifold and twin 40 dellortos. At the moment he has one of those shitty atmo vent breather filters on his cam covers but needs to plumb this back in for RWC.
I couldnt find a breather on the manifold and am not that familiar with carbs so couldnt find where i could plumb it.

So, anywhere else i can plumb this sucker?

i'm pretty surprised they will RWC it with carbs on an engine that never had carbs, but i suppose a RWC isn't the same as an engineers certificate.

I take it it uses individual sock filters? short of building a plenum box to fit over the filters and running the vent line into that, ask the RWC guy if you can vent into the venturi of the exhaust manifold, this is a good way to do it but your aferage dodgy roady guy may not have heard of it.

maybe you can just run a line and tee it in before one of the filters, then disconnect it after it gets passed.

Yeah its not engineered, has MSD ignition, is far from stock and will be semi dodge either way. It is running socks - i have suggested getting a plenum or making one up but he doesnt want to for some stupid reason. Maybe the RWC guy wont pick up on the breather in the first place...who knows.

    Thanks for the suggestion

Pipe it to a catch can - the oil will condense in the can and not be vented to atmosphere. But you're meant to have it linked via a vacuum port after the butterfly... so what you do to make it "look right" is up to you.
