When looking through the net for some techo on turbo chargers, I can across this excerpt.
I knew the book before now, I haven't read it all, but from what I have seen, it's very good. The book title is "Maximum Boost" and from it's popularity I figured I wouldn't find any of the text on the net. However..
Someone has selected one of the more pertinent chapters and placed it on the net. I have yet to read it all myself, but will get around it it. It's just the beginning of the heavy stuff, some maths but it's not TOO bad.
Anyhow, the link follows:

Personally, I'm gonna download and save that excerpt, as I can't imagine, despite the copyright listings at the top, that it'll be lasting all that long online.

It's been put up there by the publisher so i can't see it being taken down. They probably put that up there cause its the chapter with the greater interest. Great find.

corkys "maximum boost" and "supercharged" (i have that here with me in japan) are considered by many to be a very good starting point for understanding the how and why of forced induction. they don't have everything, but give most people a very big leg up!
anyone interested in turbos or superchargers should buy them![]()
