Track Time - WP 'Speed off the Streets' - 12th Jan

A few of us that bought the spreets voucher for the $69 trackday at Wakefield Park are heading out on the 12th for some track day fun.

This is the first week that WP is open for the new year, there are 4 Speed off the streets days in a row this week and the conditions are somewhat cool for this time of year so all signs are looking good for a fun day out on the track.

Anyone else interested in coming along is welcome.

If you didn't get in on the discount voucher, it's $110 for the day plus $50 for a 12 month licence.

We should be there about 8:30 I'd say.

No reason i cant be there, was hoping to get the semis put on the meisters before then, oh need to do a brake and clutch bleen otherwise good to go, what of accoms and when you want to drive down / come back ?????

I can't get any prep done on the car until tomorrow.

X-Trail is off to the repairers tomorrow morning and I'll have the entire garage for the MR2 for a little while after that.

Was hoping to rotate the tyres before this day, but since I can't open the hatch on the X-trail I could not transport them to the tyre place.

Tyres still have some life in them, but one has a flat spot that is now through the tread, will just chuck it on the back and hope for the best, but the tyres wore pretty even last time out which was not bad for a home wheel alignment and a hugh difference to the fornt bias I had the previous time, that that could have been complicated by the 'stiff' ride on the front with the fouling swaybar on tbhe LCAs.

forecast I have for Goulburn is for a few showers and 23 degrees
Elders is showing 1-5mm which is bugger all and would dry off the track pretty fast if it were to fall and weather zone say the same.

its probly better witrh some rain , mixes the day up a bit get to drive under different conditions, less stress on the car brakes / tyres etc, plus you can have more sideways fun

Pending my payout figure from my previous employer I will likely be going to melbourne to look at a car on wednesday or thursday. I wont know till tomorrow arvo if I'm coming or not. I'll just have to run down early in the morning if I do come

Sounds like a great day out, but the car is not ready plus Im away with work till Thursday.
