Yes it will fit.A T series diff is a T series diff does not matter if its coil or leaf,Corona,Celica or Ae 86 it will fit.
Cheers Brett.
Hi Everyone,
I have already begun a thread on this topic, but I have done some more research and I think it's best to start fresh.
I have a 1975 (Series 1) Toyota Corona RT104. It has a T292 diff as per Norbie's Diff/Axel database here on Toymods and it also physically has 10 bolts on the housing.
Refer to this link for all cars with the T-series diff: http://akb.norbie.net/Public/AxleList.aspx?SeriesCode=T
My question is: Will the Zenki T-Series LSD Centre for the AE86 Sprinter (T282) fit in my Diff (T292).
The RA23, RA28, RA40, TA22, TA23 and the MA45 all have the same T292 diff as my Corona. The only difference is that mine is leaf suspension.
Has anyone put an LSD centre into one of the above vehicles (T292 Diff)?
Also the TE71/TE72 (T-18) has the T312 Diff and from my understanding people put these Diffs in their AE86's and install the Zenki LSD Centre into them.
If I have said anything wrong please correct me lol.
Thanks for your help,
Stephen

Hi Brett,
There's atleast two types of T-series diff (Kouki and Zenki) and there are many ratios. Zenki LSDs have 22 or 23 spline axles while the Kouki has 2 extra splines. Have you seen anybody put an LSD in an RT104? If so do you have any details that may help me out?
Thanks,
Stephen
I do know of one that was done many years ago but to long ago to remember.
Its only the size of the crownwheel and pinion that makes the different series Toyota diffs different,T series is 6.7inch so if the lsd setup is for that series diff then it will fit what ever car runs the T series diff. Its just the matter of getting the lsd assembly and bolting the crownwheel to it have it set up right and the right axles to suit and bolt it into your housing.
Cheers Brett.
"Kouki" - post 85 T-series version with larger axles
or
"Zenki" - with smaller axles, for an early Corolla GT-S (AE86 Sprinter/Trueno/Levin)
I have the Zenki 2 way TRD LSD in my TA22 T292 diff.

Cool thanks.
Well I can't see why the Zenki LSD wouldn't fit in my Corona RT104 T292 diff if it fits in your TA22 Celica's T292 diff? As stated above the coil and leaf difference shouldn't matter?
A T292 diff is a T292 diff after all?
I'm surprised that nobody else on Toymods has an RT104 with a Zenki LSD in it?
Why are these Celica's so popular LOL!
Thanks alot,
Stephen
Also what's the go with the whole ratio thing?
My T292 is 4.1:1 Ratio. Does the Zenki LSD adapt to that or do I need to buy something else?
Thanks,
Stephen
My standard T292 diff had the 4.1:1, I went and bought some 4.3:1 to suit my motor. It's up to you to change the ratios.

Did you have to have the axles milled down at all fonzy? In the research I've done, I found the TA22 axles may be ~5mm longer than the JDM zenki LSD axles - although you actually have a zenki LSD in your car, and I don't![]()
Cheers, Jess
PS: CJSS FTW![]()
Yeah, I had to shorten both the axles by 5mm to fit.
