Have heard of Hyundai coils being used on a low-cost V8 build.
They're bosch designs produced under licence. Found in most wrecking yards but a bit large to fit into a trouser pocket.
Hey ppl.
Ok, I have a 4age in my KE70 project car. Its wired to a Haltech E6A (good old dos tuning) and im very close to getting it started.
I was running dizzy ignition but I hate dizzy. I want to go to direct fire wasted spark and i've 'heard' that Hyundai make a decent dual output coil for about $90.
Can anyone confirm this, or advise of suitable dual output coils to use?

Coilpacks from a commodore? They have three of the coil packs as shown above for the V6 on one mounting plate.
Common as, so should be cheap.
why don't you use 4 Coil On Plugs? you know you will still have to have most of the dizzy there (albeit minus the cap) to run the ECU unless you re-sensor the engine fairly drastically right?
does a helltech E6A support direct fire ignition?
If you want new, these are fairly cheap:

Believe it or not i have seen them quite cheap on eBay from the states (duh) obviously they would have an abundance of them over there i reckon you could net a set of 8 used ones for probs around the 150 + postage mark. I know they go for around the $75AUD mark brand new individually.
Just use 7MGTE coils.
They are cheap as chips and pack a massive punch.
