Default XT130 RT132 Front 5 stud brake upgrade

I know the basics of this have been covered before but it seems that only in depth threads have covered the 4 stud hubs.
I have just put together a 5 stud hub conversion with brakes on RT132 struts which would also be applicable to the XT130's being that both seem to be a common conversion in many older Toyotas.

Simply put, below shows an RT132 strut, MS65 5 stud hub, Ford Transit rotor (DBA828) and V6 4 Runner (S13WB) 4 spot calipers.

With a quick wave of the grinder the backing plates are trimmed and fit without any clearance issues.

So specs on that rotor are -
    Vented
    270mm diameter
    43mm hat height
    24mm original thickness
    22.15mm minimum thickness
    78mm centre bore
    5 stud
I wonder if they are available in undrilled as potentially a suitable replacement for the Peugeot discs that are getting hard to find? Was any machining required to fit them?

    That's right Callum.
The way these are cast you could not have them drilled in 4 stud if thats what you're thinking.
As the mount holes are threaded you will have to drill out the threads to run the bolts in from the back of the disc rather then from the hub side as is the Ford setup. The PCD is exactly the same as the MS65 hub so makes things really easy.
There is a small lip on the back side of the rotor so if your handy with a grinder you can take this off to allow the bolt heads to sit flat but I got them machined when getting my hubs and rear rotors done all at the same time.

Only slight issue I see with this is the center hole of the rotor is 2mm bigger than the crown hub and would necessitate a 1 mm thick hub ring but that is a little unrealistic so more like 2.5-3mm ring with the rotor machined out
And I take it that the v6 4runner caliper is the one for a 25 mm rotor not a 20mm one like the ln106 caliper
Will the 4runner caliper take db1170 pads?
Also do The rotors need the Od Machined down to 266mm? or are the legs on the 4runner caliper just that little bit longer and accomodate 270mm?

    Cheers,

    Peter

Actually it's the other way around. I had the hubs machined down so that the center of the rotors fit over them. I went this way so that if I have to replace the rotors in the future I don't need to machine them. They are also the standard diameter having only the mount hole threads drilled out.

MS 65 hub is 76 mm dba 828 rota is 78 mm. Also MS 65 is 5x114.3 not 5x100 as stated Woops this bit has been edited.

    Cheers Craig
