hilux 2008 lsd does it fit into 1988 hilux diff

I have found an lsd diff which came out of a 2008 sr5 hilux, would anyone know if this lsd will fit my 1988 2wd hilux.

I've been told they do apart from the plate that connects the tailshaft has a different bolt pattern. You can just change the plate with the one from your 88 diff

check the ratio , i think they are 3.6 , and yours will be around 4.1 i think

The centre will be interchangable, from the early 80's through to current Hilux's.
