Yeah, if you look at ToyoDIY you can find the gear ratios for some cars, and then you can work your way backwards.
Its a bit of an arseaboutface method though.
There was some available with a 4.5, and some lux's with G5x boxes (same speedo gear), but using Toyodiy I have no idea how to find them.

Ok after a bit of searching through toyoDIY i found a speedo gear that has mark 33:11 for the speedo drive gear. That should match up with my worm gear inside. I'll try putting the correct speedo drive gear in and see if the spring holds. Even if the speedo is working, and out, im sure it will be better than not working at all. Anyone got a 33:11 speedo drive gear? Im probably going to order one and a new clip for the worm gear. Then if i have to pull the box i'll wire in a speedo healer.
Found this old thread on GoogleMy speedo wasn't working on my W58 so I pulled the speedo gear out and I could wiggle the worm drive on the out put shaft. It was moving up and down the shaft and rotating on the shaft also! I pulled the gearbox out and the spring clip had lost it's tension. I am guessing you had the same problem! Anyone else experienced this problem? How did you fix it? I am going to pull the back housing off and just squish the spring clip a little bit to see if that re tensions it

Just get a new spring clip.
You don't want to pull the box apart again just because you didn't spent $5 on a new clip!
And when you put the box back together, make sure you can select all 5 gears and reverse before putting the bolts in there. Its easy to knock the shifter selector.

Yeah I don't mind spending the money but it's going to be like a weeks wait to get it here. Was thinking of getting some slow setting super glue and gluing it to the shaft! It's a stupid design really...

It works well enough for the other 6 million Toyota's out on the road...

Just some data about where to find different toothed gear combinations for speedo drive according to some sleuthing Ive done on toyot diy. The variation appears to be tyre size as the different chassis have different combos, some repeating for different final drives.
RA65 33-11 speedo drive for 3.58:1 final drive
SX80 32-10 speedo drive for 3.9:1 final drive.
GX80 35-10 speedo drive for 4.3 final drive.
LX80 32-11 speedo drive for 3.58 final drive.
RT142 32-11 speedo drive for unknown diff ratio (borg parts not in Partsfan)
A few more enties Ive been collecting from the database.
