hey guys
ill be off to the track in a few weeks time, just need to get something sorted with the fuel.
basically, given the EFI pumps mounting place (its convienent, and id like to keep it there) it kinda struggles sucking up fuel.
this is the current setup.
ke70 with a 4agze engine. it has a VL fuel pump only, with no surge tanks or anything.
sooo, it goes in this order -> tank - vl fuel pump - fuel rail/injectors - return to tank.
currently i have this small facet lift pump (low pressure, high volume) and i plan to run it inbetween the tank and the pickup of the efi pump...
in this order -> tank - facet lifter pump - vl fuel pump - fuel rail/injectors - return to tank.
i will get a surge tank soon, but for the moment i dont have fuel surging issues, i just want to ensure its sucking up enough fuel.
will this work?
will it kill my pump, by having fuel being essentially forced into it?
cheers guys![]()
hey mate. for the time being, buy a big filter, coke can sorta size, and put that in line after the LPHV facet pump, should solve any surging issues you might have on the track and also prevent....forcing as you put it...although i doubt that would be an issue.
Jamie.
I am running an identical set up in my Ta22, 3tgte, and other than the VL pump being loud as all buggerry, she works well.
