Rotating Turbos quick question

So I'm starting to set up the wagon with the GT35 in the factory CT26 housing. I've rotated the exhaust housing to the centre and compressor housing, however I want to leave the compressor and exhaust housings as they are and rotate the centre to align the drain line
better.

Am I able to do this and to do it, do I just take the pressure off the inner C-Clip?? and rotate?? will this effect the turbo. Never had one apart hence the questions

It depends on if the comp housing still has the locator pin installed.
If it is, you'll have to remove the comp housing and pull the pin out.

If the pin is removed already, odds are youll have to remove the comp housing anyway as it will not turn easily at all.
Trying to do so might damage the o-ring too.

BTW... if your wastegate actuator is mounted on the comp housing, youll have to make up a new bracket or something for it.

Cool will investigate and have a go, have to buy bigger better C-Clip pliers. Is there a way to see the pin, I'll go out now and have a look

Shouldn't have to as I want to leave the comp housing and exhaust housing in same relationship,just want to rotate the centre to both housings, exhaust was easy just a row of bolts

In a CT 26 isn't the pin on the exhaust housing? the intake housing should be just held by the circlip? at least that is how my ct20B was.

def a pin on the ct26, tho if you have a little mirror handy you should be able to see if it's still in there or not. around the lip where the circlip is there'll be a little notch out where the pin sits.

but as MWP said, odds are the housing won't budge easily even if the pin isn't present

actually having a look at the turbo again which parts are ct26 and which parts are gt35?

cuase in that pic i see 2 circlips when there's normally only 1. if you do the inner circlip then you wont have to worry about the pin.

Spot on my friend, got to work today and borrowed some decent C- Clip Pliers and it rotated no problems at all. Now I have a directly vertical drain line, has cause some other issues but I'm on top of that
