    OK i have mounted a sc14 on the exhaust side of a 4age with a 1ggze bracket,
if i remember correctly it the bracket needed a bit cut off & a hole drilled & tapped in the front of the block.but enough holes lined up to make it secure without it.
it also had the top mount spaced out to leave room for the dissy & make it further from exhaust heat.

    Hi Drew, sounds good.
I'm also interested in this concept of an exhaust side supercharcher.

On an AE95 4WD wagon, this would mean I can keep the vaccuum drum that actuates the central diff-lock (1 less head ache)

What did the 1ggze bracket attach to on the block? Just curious to find out whether or not the 1.8L 4afe block has the same attachment points.

Can you supply a pic of a normal 4age, simply pointing to the areas the bracket was attached?

sorry i'm crap with pics & don't have any from my old bigport (it was 10 odd years ago)
not sure if the boltholes are the same on the 7a as 4a or bigport ge.

i need to look at doing it again with my current gze,the blower doesn't fit on the intake side with a n/a rwd inlet & t3 adapter.
the 1ggze bracket got thrown out when i moved, so this time it looks like it will be a homemade jobbie, unless someone has a 1gg blower bracket laying around.

I have had these pictures for a long time, and have no idea where they came from.

Interesting... will just have to pull sc14 out & take a look at it next to 7a block - see what can be done.
Although on an east west mounted engine it loooks like the sc14 will hit the radiator - would probably have to do some custom trickery with the exhaust pipes too.

i still think of doing a twin s/c 4age sometimes....

Okay... I've gotta ask..., How does a twin supercharge 4age work??? I mean, what would the set up be? I'm guessing supercharger either side of the block but how would all the plumbing & timing work?

    (can of worms anybody?)

the way i figured in my head would be inlet feed after air filter, afm.. branches off to feed both s/c's. outlets join together before i/c. both s/c clutches activated at the same time. quite simple really. hard part would be building and routing the pipe work and working out the belt and tensioner.

2 s/c's set-up to run say stock ~8psi with a 145mm crank and 125mm s/c pulleys each i would think the total forced air would be cooler than you get from overspinning a single s/c, plus better for the bearings etc. i spose you'ld want to make sure the extra 'drag' on the engine spinning another s/c if worth it in the extra output gained at the wheels. and effort used in doing the job. would have to have insane torque....

it was just a pipe thought for me all them years ago, could be fun to try it oneday for the hell of it.
