Good idea... or at least our forum usernames written on our entrant cards so we can put names to cars when we look at them.

I believe we will have the option for upper level parking if dry or undercover if wet.

As for trailer access, I am pretty sure it will be easy to get one in and out. I will do a drive through and make sure though. Give me a few days to get around to it.....

    Hi,

Better still, I'll bring a can of bright pink spray paint and I'll write FAIL all over it.

Cool! I love the cars you guys bring. Always something interesting and well presented.

Also, some of you have the best mullets about, and that too is cool.

Looking forward to catching up with you guys.

    Hi all.

Newcomer here, i've got a sprinter that i've had for a little while now. I'm quite keen to bring it along to Toyotafest and put it on display. but some of the modifications i've made are, how you say, not exactly legal.
so i was wondering if there was any possibility i might run into the local constabulary, or say an off duty RTA inspector, who might be wandering around checking out cars? don't really want to get defected, dontcha know....

    any thoughts people?

    Hi,

No one has ever been defected at the ToyotaFest car show. For a few years we even had the "Police Choice" where the cops checked out the cars and decided which one they liked the best, and the winner got a trophy.

As far as I know, no one has been defected driving to or driving home from the show.

The closest we've come was when a female police officer was looking at The 88, with its fender mirrors. She looked at the car and then at me, then took me to one side and said in a soft voice "You're so handsome you're almost illegal". She then kissed my cheek and sauntered away, her pistol moved with each gentle swing of her slender hips. I nearly crash tackled her just so she could cuff me.

    So... you should be fine.

I have a friend with a very nice example of a mini with a 4EFTE in it. He asks if he can bring it to the show? Obviously he is not eligible for trophies but is he welcome?

    Kebin,

Because ToyotaFest is the celebration of the look and style of the Toyota Marque we only allow Toyota Bodied vehicles to enter. We couldn't care less what is under the bonnet or what has been done to it since it left the factory but the bodywork has to be of Toyota Origin.

What he could do however is come along to the show (its free for spectators) and park in the car park near the show. Every year there are some really awesome cars parked in the car park as I find myself constantly walking around and wondering why they didn't enter.

Yeah a few of the younger guys in the club have had some crazy mullets, but i have a strickly no mullet policy as do most people in general. Im hopeing we can get some nice cars there this year but unfortunatly i dont think Marty's Orange Ke30 that won quite a few trophy's last year, will be at the show as he has been busy doing a few new mods and the guy doing his fabrication work has let him down in regards to time managment, ie taking ages.

Should be a bit of a convoy heading up early that morning from Canberra. Pity we lose an hours sleep that morning with daylight savings
