There is a couple of car wash places nearby (one within walking distance) but they are the cafe type where you pay someone to do the job for you. Not sure where the nearest coin operated place is. We are a lazy bunch in Castle Hill. I'll ask around and see if I can find a coin op place nearby.
no worries. ive sent that cafe place an email as they open at 7.30 which hopefully a few of us should arrive around that time

id like to come down again this year. couple of questions, the wife is pregnant with currently five weeks to go, in the event she goes into labor, how stringent is the no moving of cars as if she goes into labor i need to load up and go. can an exception be made for this.
also has the trailer thing been looked into yet as i would have to trailer, also is there going to be an issue with me having no muffling device, its pretty loud straight out of the dump pipe where it exits under the drivers seat area.
if someone could let me know
cheers

Shane I'm sure if the rules couldn't be bent for you then someone else's non-participating car would be able to make an emergency delivery. Pity the cops aren't there again this year for a (defunct?) Police Choice award, otherwise if the timing were superb you could get a police escort all the way to the hospital.![]()
Shane,
If the missus goes into labour I'd call that an exception we can make. We would just need to grab the board members as safety marshals and help you out with it and push it out of the show area so not a problem at all.
No worry on the noise as the show starts early and its in a private car park not a public street.
I have not checked it out myself but I am informed that getting a car trailer onto the top level of the car park should not be a problem and you can park it on the roof no worries as we are only using part of the roof for the show (its a really big roof)

PS: Regarding the car wash... I just pay the latino girls across the road to wash my car. It's worth it for the view, and the car gets cleaned at the same time.

yup, that's right... but that's not the carpark we'll be using. We will be on the other side where it's much easier to access with trailers. I will have somewhere organised with the centre to park any trailers![]()

How does it work with timing, 7.30 entrants arrive up til 9AM I understand. Will cars be arranged up till then on placing? Like all Celica 1st gens together, then 2nd/3rd/4th etc or will it depend on how early you get in as to where your car will be placed?
I just wanna be placed next to the 3rd Gen celicas or Supras if there are![]()

pretty much spot on... as we take entries on the day, we can only plan the layout so much... but in previous years we've been reasonably successful in grouping models & generations together. I'm sure there'll be a few other 3rd gens to group you with.
see you there bright and early

Usually everyone gets there pretty early so as to best organise the grouping of Toyota's just nicely. Even if they arrive a bit later than expected they always seem to work out somehow. With such a big venue there should be plenty of scope for arranging liberally like we have in the past. And now said arranging will only be limited by how many cars enter... if it's as cracker of a day as I think it will be there's gonna be a ton of cars and then some. 1st gen Celi's there's always more than enough, to go with their 6th & 7th gen cousins, and there seems to be a hell of a lot of xA80 Supra's in attendance, rolla's of all generations, etc. I think yours and mine will be in the not-so-populous category.TBH lately (from what I've noticed) it's been more about old-skool and rarities/imports than what usually graces us most years, but it's a Toyota show, and every Toyota is welcome.

There is a good chance oldjap is coming with his 1G RA60 and I'm coming with mine so we'll make sure we get them all sorted what do u reckon your MA61 in the middle flanked by RA60's lol.

Hi,
I think you're being a tad over sensitive. ToyotaFest has always been about Toyotas - all makes, models and vintages - so long as they have a Toyota chassis. The amount of old school that is present is not very high compared to later models, and the amount of rare and imports are even less again.
The only Toymods event that specifies older cars is the Classic Celica Cruise, and even then we encourage all Toyotas to come along (as it's a Toymods event), but only the old Celicas are included in the main photographic sessions and are grouped together. This year we even put in the RA40 models, and one of the photographic sessions included all Celica models.
