    spoke to Tighe Cams today. the solid lifter cams have quieting ramps and using hydraulic lifters on this cam would cause lifter pump. Hydraulic cams don't have a this ramp and using solids on these causes valve float. Both result in excessive noise and inconsistent valve movement.
    But the end result is Tighe will grind my 5k cam to 25-65 270degree 0.400" lift to suit solids lifters. They call it the Tighe 104.

    put the pistons in today. the big ends had about 1mm of play around the crank. Not happy Yhan!!!

    The crank has ovbviously been grond and measures a measely 41.42mm.... so i'm transplanting the crank out of the 4k which measures 42.42mm

    or use 40thou OS bearings?
