    Default 1GGZE Header flange

    Hi all,
does any one where I might source a header flange to bolt to a 1G head as I'd like to make my own exhaust header?
I've done extensive searches of suppliers on the net and Ebay with no luck.
    Any suggestions?
    Cheer

Contact Super Cat Converters. They will be able to source you one (more than likely supplied by my old work up here in Brisbane).
    Cheers.

What's the going price for mild steel manifold flanges these days? Either one-offs or if you get a batch made up?

A soon as I can find a supplier I'll let you know. I'll call Supercat this week.

For one offs, I believe they are around the $90 mark (don't quote me on this). For a few we'd normally get them laser cut and it would work out incredibly cheaper to do 10-ish at once.

So I called Supercat and they wouldn't give me the time of day because they're a wholesaler and I'm a nobody...they wouldn't even consider a bulk order?
    The search continues....

Retarded. I will see what I can do for you dude. Any idea if the flange is the same as a 1GGTE?

wow... I thought they might only be around $50. I was curious as massive qty's at work (where it's 100% material cost) are less than $10. Guess the time to setup cutting is the killer.

Yeah I'm fairly certain they're the same as a 1GGTE.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, cheers.

Yep, for low numbers we used a profile cutter. Flange was put onto paper from direct measurements of a steel gasket, holes marked out with a protractor, etc. Flange plates were then cut out and cleaned up with a linisher. Whole process from start to finish takes around an hour plus materials.
For large orders, we just hit up a laser cutters - like you said, way less than $10 each if you're ordering in huge quantities.

Yeah, it's all in the time to do a CAD drawing and load it into the machine...once you've done one, you can do 1000

Is an entire 1G-GZE exhaust manifold any use to you - besides as a paperweight / doorstop / next door's cat removal tool?

Yeah thanks but I've already got one of those, I'ts part of plan 'C' (and thanks for the cat idea!)

If I can't buy a flange, plan B is to try and make one and plan C is to cut the pipes of the factory one.

Just emailed my mate, he said he'd get back to me in the next day or two of he's got the drawings for one.
Postage might suck from Brisbane though..
