1g boost related issue

hey guys. finally after 3 long months we have got the 1g in my z10 to run.
the engine itself seems to be running fine except when the turbos spool up
you dont get any boost. its actualy slower then the ge i had in it before. we have checked all the joins,tryed different afm and tomorrow im going to connect a boost guadge to further trouble shoot. any info would be much appreciated

Wastegates hooked up properly or not seized open?

Hunting at or low idle? Any vacc leaks etc? would be my first bet.

yes we have check for leaks + spayed start you
basterd round any/all joins

Best described as this :

Take off , Can hear turbos loud as, making around 9psi (.7bar) the car hesitates MAJORLY, basically feels like a really really old 1S-U camry...

Changed AFM with coFF33's MZ11 , made no difference and fuel pump / fuel is fine GEN3 injectors GEN3 engine GEN3 ecu.

When getting into 3rd/4th, and giving it a bit, get the turbos working.... then getting off throttle... i get major backfires through the exhaust loud and obvious backfires...

What causes major hesitation on throttle ... and backfires on deceleration ?

Have you checked the ECU codes? When my 1G had a faulty knock sensor, the power would go backwards as son as it hits boost because the ignition was so far retarded to limp home.

sounds like the motor is retarded.... as in ignition timing is out one tooth or cam timing...

please double check and rectify lol

Just to update what happened

It was a case of fucking molested plugs + retarded timing.

advanced to 10 and new plugs = boost

hes a happy little boy now.

YES!!! .. go buy that gun metal one that was for sale awhile ago with the 5m motor and W58 box... would be a straight bolt it just need the G bell....
