    Default MA61/Z10 fuel pump

    Hey all

Almost complete on my housemates GZ10 / 1GGTE swap

but cannot find any info on the fuel pump wiring to get it to run....

Dodgy in my MZ11 my fuel pump is activated by the small 2 pin plug that sits underneith the AFM in the engine bay.
ive just used a wire to connect the 2 pins and when ign is turned on the pump will run.

In the gz10 this plug also exists , but when connecting the 2 pins we get no fuel pump action.

Is there something in the ECU area that requires power/ground for that fuel pump test plug to work ?

Something about the circuit open relay or something ?????

i cant get my head around this , can anyone give me some pointers plz plz !!

    cheers

The COR relay is in the drivers kick panel.

Did the AFM wiring for the previous engine stay when the engine was removed? I'd be trying to wire it up properly so that the switch in the AFM triggers the Fuel Pump (As opposed to the dodge).

Or it could be something as simple as the fuse being blown?

    Cheers

    1GGTE Gen 3 in a GZ10....

complete 1GGTE Gen 3 loom running through engine and into ECU glovebox area.
around 90% connected and working, just missing fuel pump. The AFM wiring is 1GGTE GEN3 just like the engine.

Wilbo, what colour wire am i looking to power in the ECU/Glove box is it on the IH1 or IK1 plug ?

and obvoiusly the COR switch wire needs 12v when IGN on?

I have some info that its possibly a solid grey wire?

The reason I asked if the AFM plug stayed with the body / car is that on 5ME in MA61 the AFM wiring isn't part of the engine loom, it's part of the body loom and stays when you remove the engine...

Anyway I don't have 1G-GTE wiring diagrams in my collection and I've never really had much to do with 1G's, Does the 1G you have match these diagrams?
    http://www.supra.co.nz/1g.htm

    If so http://www.supra.co.nz/1g/1ggte_gen_3_2_0001thumb.jpg indicates that
Pin 1 on the AFM is the GND for the Fuel Pump / COR Switch
Pin 2 on the AFM is from the COR - This comes out on Pin 15 of the 'F1' plug shown on 1ggte_gen_3_6_0001.jpg...

I don't know what you mean by "IH1 or IK1 plug"... and I don't recall which pin you need on the xZ1x body loom plug.... you can trace it back from the COR in the drivers kick panel with a multimeter Pin 4 on the COR is the one you need if I recall. I dislike wire colours are they change quite often.
