i'll check when i get home, and i'll do the same "pinout" dig that you have.
pretty sure the G1 and G2 are grounds as well, it's possible the celica has more ground points.
howcome the st182 pinout you've done doesnt list the ACIS?
Heres another update:
I pulled part the ecu again and checked the printed circuit board. Then i got the colours of the wires on the plugs from the loom and looked up what each colour was used for on the same style plug looms (using st18 series electrical diagrams for colour comparisons).
VERY INTERESTING FINDING!
My ecu has a part number: 89661-17280 and labelled 3sge m/t
YET! it has NO (G-) pin at all, no kiddin, i have looked repeatedly in suprise. there is no G(-) pin at all, no labelled G- on the printed circuit board.
There is what appears to be D(-) but it could very well be a Dg (little g will look like an 8 that looks like a negative symbol in a circle) IT IS DEFINITELY A D THOUGH!
It is suppose to be a m/t (manual transmission ecu). Its got Tems outputs.(pins L1, L2 & L3). Pin 22 of the 22 plug is soldered to a printed line but is not labelled.
Pin 17 of the 26 pin plug is not soldered to any line on the circuit board, its left blank and on numerous wiring diagrams is stated to be the G(-) pin, but is not in use on this ecu.
This is my pin out on my mr2 ecu:
26P
[ E01 ][ 1 ][ 2 ][ STJ ][ RSC ][ HT ][-- / ---][ / ][ FPU -][-- / --][ IGF ][ G2 ][ NE]

^^^
The wierd un-labelled pin thats soldered to a route in the circuit board. maybe it means nuffin, but if not in use, then i guess why have a pin connected to something? Its not like a normal blank soldered to a space on the printed circuit board with no where to go. its got a line on the circuit board going somewhere... :S
From colour matching, this is what my st182 wiring loom pinout appears to be:

The ACIS wire in the plug will definitely be there, but i couldn't work out which colour wire it would be, as i was using an st184 and st185 wiring diagram to match the colours as the usdm 3sgte, 5sfe and 4afe were the only wiring diagrams i could get off the net free from celicatech.com BGB.
The wires i left as a question mark ? would be ACIS, but i wasn't sure which one would be, as none of those model's i looked at had ACIS, and the closest there of course was the tvis from the 3sgte st185.

the ones in red are the ones that are printed on the 93 ecu but aren't in the bgb
i'll list the differences between the post/pre dec91 ecus.
91/93
RSO:B22/b10
STJ/EVP:B7/B10
FPU:B5/B6
G2:B2/B5
NE:B1/B4
G-:C10/B17
ACIS:B18/B22
KNK:C5/C13
also were the KNK is on the 93 ecu the 91 has VAF which goes to some variable resistor which is also linked to the VC which is a signal that goes to the vac sensor and the throttle position sensor.
and where AC2 is on the 93 ecu which isnt in the bgb its PS in the 91 bgb.
and finally TE2 in the 93 bgb/ecu is OX2 in the 91 bgb
also the ACIS wire is blue-orange
thanks Jonathan. thats brilliant. cheers mate. Will see how that goes and will report back.

This site has a lot of ECU pin out refernces. I thought the cold start injector also had a timer and temperature activation switch as well as the ECU control. Might be work checking these as well![]()

that's a wiked page he's got. however it's all 3sgte stuff, no NA model stuff.
and that's the thing. i've never come across a gen2 on 3sge motor with cold start inj. only the gen1 st162 had a CSI and the gen2 turbo's.
Okay sorryI made a bold assumption that the 3SGE would be similar to the GTE

new info: it appears that the aus delivered 3sge's had CSI, but not the JDMs. which would explain why my english BGB's show CSi wiring but the manifold/ecu/fuel rail dont have the CSI gear as it's from a jdm vehicle.
the 3sge powered celica's never came to australia as far as i'm aware except maybe the convertible's, def not the gtr's with 4WS. so if your wiring loom and ecu are both of jdm vehicle's then i'd say you don't need to worry about the cold start, but being that they're from different years you'll still need to repin etc.
If it's any help, that part number correlates to a SW20 MR2, 5spd, December '89 to December '91. Might help you narrow down the search for the correct wiring diagram...My ecu has a part number: 89661-17280 and labelled 3sge m/t
If you can find a part number on the wiring harness I can put that throught the EPC too. Its normally on a bit of paper taped on between the firewall grommet and the ECU plugs.
Best of luck!

Hi guys, thanks for your help.
Sorry for hte delayed reply, i just got back from a 4 day vw show at valla beach over the weekend.
I will get back to you after i check out this wiring and nut it out after all the useful information you have given me. Pity i don't have the part number to the wiring loom though, that would have sorted it out right away. but ah wells... watever tag was on the loom is long gone now when it was stripped apart.
Thanks for your help, will be in touch.
