someone was selling a higher rate spring for these on here in Engine/driveline etc. I think it was only $40 from memory and will increase the 'locking force'
as in title, any idea if Toyota still stock shims to suit our diffs? i know Nissan still do
using: http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_J_198...VZ_4101.4.html
i have a gz20, so its a G series IRS LSD. looks to be factory lsd

with a few different thicknesses , looking to tighten it up without being a full blown locker

cheers

toyota should still have them in stock
i bought 3 of the thickest they had in local stock (WA) when I did my diff as I was in a rush- think i ended up with 2 x 0.25 and 1 x 0.30
seemed to work nicely, but the car has always been having problems so it's barely seen the road
Now - 1988 GX81 Mark II- 7MGTE, GT35R, TiAL 44m, Microtech, 550cc injectors, R154, Xtreme clutch, LSD.... Low boost tune done = 330rwhp@1 BAR...
Then - 1989 MX83 - The big scrap heap in the sky...
i gotta do mine soon.
Project:RA65 with an engineered 1ggte conversion.
Daily:MA61 - 5me stock auto shitheap.
Jealousy is a curse
The toyota shims tighten up the spider gears and not the LSD, ( well by a bee,s dick as it does move the side gear inwards) if you put the thickest toyota shims in the lsd will work shit hot because the spider gears are binding up on each other = not good .
The bigger spring is the trick.

Seamonsta pulled his cressida diff apart and rearranged the plates to get the lsd effect happening again as his was single wheeling all the time. I went for a spin and it definitely works well now!!! PM him for details. He tried the spring but in his opinion it did SFA.
