never heard of the problem . but if your really stuck and have to replace , i have a spare sunroof mech
Hey Guys,
Went to the track today and found that jzx90's are a really fun car to drift! not only that but some how managed to have my sunroof stuck open in tilt position.
I was sitting in the car and decided I would try the sunroof window out. It's there, so why not give it a shot right?
Slide open.. *window slides open*
Popped my head out, cool right? Get back in the car.
Slide close.. *window slides close*
Tilt open... *window tilts*
Hmm, thats pretty neat..
Tilt close... *nothing.. don't these things beep or something?*
Tilt close.. nothing..
Ok, get friends wife to translate manual
"Hold down tilt close until it beeps, then the window will close"
Held it down forever, no beeps, no nothing.
I pulled the switch mechanism out from the lining etc, inspect, looked at the wiring harness, all seems ok?
Looked in the engine bay for a specific fuse and in the drivers side kick panel. Nothing listed under sunroof or anything, and did not want to inspect every single one.
So at the moment my car is sitting in the car park with its sunroof tilted and tape sealing it up.
Can anyone tell me
1. Is there a fuse I can check
2. Can I manually move it back to standard position
3. Has anyone heard of or experienced this problem.
Thanks in advance!

I'm actually living in Japan at the moment, should change location.
Had another crack at pulling it apart today. Worked out how the switching mechanism works, short wired it, it went down. After a bit of fiddling it looks like the tilt down button is a bit dicky. Note to self, do not press tilt.. often.
Next time I will try harder before posting.
yay for you matthew!
