Caldina suspension issue

hey guys i drive a 98 caldina and it was lowered on rsr spring with stock shocks anyway the car seemed to not handle bumps even slight bumps in the road well at all it feels like the car is bottoming out and makes a huge bang no matter which side hits a bump or front or rear, you would hit like a small groove in the road than bang the worst feeling ever.. now its not bottoming out all the time even though it feels like it is but theres a big dint in the tran auto sump
anyway i figured it was the shocks all round that must be f%^d so i brought some trd shocks and waydo springs from overseas they were used but in awesome condition and got tham at a good price i figured till i could afford new coil overs these would do the job as they couldnt be worse than what i have so i put the front ones in today and took it for a drive and it does the same
now i might be the most unlucky bloke in the world and both my originals and the trd ones are both completely stuffed to the same degree OR is there some other things i could check
i had a quick look at the engine mounts they seemed ok
i had a slight look at some of the bushes they seemed not cracked im am completely lost
any help would be great cause its almost undrivable its that bad

where is the bang coming from? what does it do over slow speed spedbumps?

its running 16inch rims with 205r55 16s so dont think its that, what happens is when you driving anywhere and you hit bumps in the road or like head down a hill and come to the bottom when it starts to go up again the car just goes bang like theres no shocks at all its like its running on bricks, i just find it hard to believe that its all four shocks then i got these ones even though there used and these are all stuffed to i cant get my head around it and dont want to shell out for coil overs if its not going to fix it up,
if you go over a speed hump even pretty slow it whacks it like the bottom of the front of the car is hitting it then goes over it and smacks again then does the same at the rear

tires hitting the guards?, maybe a worn sub frame bush or ball joint

yeah, time to look at all the suspension joint stuff.. or even if the subframe has worked loose etc...

'no shocks at all' means it's like a Yo-yo going up&down, bouncing for a long time, a little bit less each bounce until it stops, or the shock is locked solid from crap jamming its valve shut & it won't move at all like its been welded in place.
Do they move with a lot of resistance, no resistance or not at all when you've had them in your hands?
Shocks can make some strange noises but only BANG when they've bottomed out.
How's the strut mount's rubber isolator?

yeah its not bouncy at all just one hit like there is no bounce its brutal
the thing that gets me is its on all four wheels both sides of the car which is just to strange
like picture a small speed hump one of those long ones with a tiny up ramp than a long flat than a small down ramp when you hit the first bit (upramp)theres no bounce it just goes bang like the entire car is smacking the speed hump than as you go up if you go down at the same speed the front of the car hits the road and you also get the same bang under the car and its not just a little bang or knock its a solid smack like the car is being hit by a sledgey

im at sixes and sevens so i think its time to take it somewhere theres not much more i can do, any ideas take it to a mechanic or a suspension bloke ????

jack it up and kick the tyres see if it bangs

if you push down on it, does the suspension compress at all?

You say you hit the speed bump & " it goes bang " how fast are you going ?

when i hit the speed hump very slow but its not just the speed humps its every bump in the road
um old corolla me and my mate sat over both front suspension and started rocking it up and down feels like the shocks are working fine no bangs
it was even worse today now even tiny bumps in the roads in places it never done it before i dont need it this week so to the mechanic i think

just another thing though i had a look at the strut and if it ws the shcoks and they had no gas shouldnt the top bit of the strut be smashed to the shitter with marks everywere from it smacking and banging?

if the shock piston rod thing doesn't hit the bottom fo the shock first, then you will see marks on the top.. but it could bottom out internally as well.

it is sounding more like something is loose, or bushes are dead.. and that is the bang you are hearing.. btu to hear it from all 4 corners is very odd..

strut to knuckle bolts all done up? all bolts tight everywhere?
