    That should be plenty. Even if the solenoids do pull more than 450mA, the switch will still last quite a long time.
    i have this one already, so was thinking max of 300mA = 47ohms ish, but could probably reduce current to solenoid and still have it work. hence asking about the resistance of the valves

    but i guess i could take it back and swap to the 3 or 4 pole versions

    then again... allt eh current will go through teh base legs.. hmm, maybe switch is not up to scratch..

    The main thing is that you must put a diode across the solenoid, or the flyback current when you switch it off will burn out the switch. Those little switches don't open the contacts very far, so without a diode you'll get arcing between the contacts.
