I have no experience with it, but there's a long thread on Brindabella Motor Sports (rallying site) that may be a starting point :

My uncle uses it it his 7M-GTE MX10 MkII Corona. It did increase the power somewhat but its only currently viable if you live right next to the petrol station or you're going for an all out drag car/weekend streeter. His fastest with normal V-Power Racing was 10.1 with 387 rwkW. Changed the injectors to 1700cc along with the tune (same psi and running gear) and got 396 rwKw and a 9.91 ET.
Only one servo to purchase it in Sydney, Gladesville United. Its pretty cheap out of the pump. Race shops sell it for abit dearer. It doesnt keep and absorbs water. Fuel lines will most likely need to be changed as its been said to eat at certain types of rubber. Injectors and computer will also need to be changed/adjusted accordingly.
If you do go for E85 and it is a weekend streeter, you would most likely have to be visiting the servo once a month as you cant keep it in containers for more than that. If you have a drag night planned make sure to ring the servo and ask if them have any in the tank. We have been caught afew times when its Full Throttle Friday's at WSID and there hasnt been any fuel at the bowser.
Thats all i got mate. Hope it helps
seems it should be becoming available most places http://www.carsguide.com.au/site/new...hanol_roll-out
fantastic stuff. i've been running it daily for about 3 years now. up until this spring i ran it on the stock fuel system and when i took that apart this spring to upgrade stuff, everything looked brand new. no signs of deterioration in the rubber or metal lines. filter was clean, tank was immaculate. there was a little bit of pitting where the zinc started to come off the pump hanger, but i can't say for certain whether ethanol caused it or not, and it's not structural so i don't particularly care.
you'll need about 23-25% more fuel. you can tune it VERY lean for cruising- you can lean it out until it misfires basically. add a bit of timing to help push that threshold out a bit further.
it's basically knock-proof. i've seen almost 14:1 gas equivalent at full boost on the dyno without a hint of knock. the power just drops off as it leans out.
i love the stuff. here in minnesota, it's available almost everywhere and about 50c cheaper than regular unleaded.
argh. there is a massive thread on this already. fucking do a search
Hi there Chris,
I think what ^^failmeister^^ meant to say was something along the lines of:
Hey mate there has been some interesting and informative discussion in this thread HERE regarding E85 ethanol fuel. It is unfortunate however that 3 letter words do not search well on toymods so check it out above!
Cheers,

To search for three letter words on toymods, use google, and add (without the quotes) "site:toymods.org.au" at the end of the query. I hope someone can add this to the FAQ, as I found it a handy way to search for short words.
Or use the Takai search option which does this![]()

Hmmm this is starting to look like a thread jacking...But... For some reason I cannot get the above thread I linked to by the takai search with either E85 or Ethanol in the topic??? However putting Ethanol into the regular search box and trolling several pages brings up the thread I linked to.
Hopefully its just me being somewhat computer illiterate, cos I still struggle to find info I've tripped over before and KNOW it exists!
Puts down hydrolic thread jack...
Cheers,
Jason
