    Default RN85 Conversion - 3RZ-FE or 1G-GZE??

    Hey Guys,

Im after some input and your opinions on the two engines im looking at. Im going to be taking out the standard 22R and wanna replace it with something that has ait more go

Talking to a couple of mates at boys night and some of the guys brought up some good sugestions. I was orginally going to go for a 1G but then they brought up a good point of then going to register the car it will be under a 6cyl so abit more expensive. So now im looking into the 3RZ as a nice 4cyl alternative.

I know that im going to need to fabricate up my on engine mounts either way i go as well as from what i have read as long as i use the 1G or 3RZ bellhousing it will mount upto my standard gearbox.

These are the specs i have pulled up.

    Engine
    22R - 81kw @ 5000rpm - 187Nm @ 3400rpm
    3RZ-FE - 112kw @ 4800rpm - 240Nm @ 4000rpm
    1G-GZE - 125kw @ 6000rpm - 226Nm @ 3600rpm

so basically the only downside of going for the 3RZ is that it has less power. But it has in favour for it thats it's a square motor with a stroke height of 95mm and a bore of 95mm. as well as making most its power down low.

Whats your take on it guys,
    Input is much apreciated

Rego doesnt matter going from a 4cyl to a 6cyl in a Commercial Ute.
They charge registration on what the vechile is legally allowed to carry.
Means you can drop in a V8, with no issues about it costing you more.

if anything i will be going supercharged. Dont want instant power coz it will kick the back out want something more subtle lol

EDIT as well as its easy to hide a supercharger as an A/C Unit lol

The 3" pipes into it are just so i get good airflow into the cab
