2002 Hilux Diff Code - B04A Compatability Question

Can anyone confirm the diff ratio of a late model 2WD Hilux with B04A diff code? I understand it is compatible with the earlier G code Hilux diffs, can anyone confirm this? A friend is looking to put an LSD into his Hilux but the wreckers want insane money for them, don't want to buy something earlier model that doesn't fit though. So does an early model G code LSD fit a later model diff housing, bearings compatible and what else do we need to know?

My 1999 Hilux has diff code A05B which translates as 4.3 G series with LSD . do not know what a b series HILUX diff is
