    Default 1ggte inlet manifold removal

I need to remove the inlet manifold on my 1ggte, I just need to know if there is anything special I need to do or be mindful of and if the 7 bolts can be removed with the engine in the car (I assume they can be) also need to know if I can reuse the intake manifold gasket or must I replace it. any suggestions would be appreciated.

You will have to unbolt the dipstick and the TVIS vaccum tank + associated vaccum lines, the cold start injector, fuel rail + wires + fuel lines, coolant lines to throttle body.

No real "gotchas" its pretty straight forward. Gasket should be OK to reuse, just clean up all the surfaces well before reassembling.

i wouldnt bother re-using ur gaskets mate. ive taken mine off twice since the start of the year and the original gasket was hard and brittle but then the decision is up to you.

as kedderz said everything else is straight forward but if u take off your alternator it will be easier to get the nut off located towards the front of the motor.

the only real problems i had was getting the middle nut at the bottom of the manifold off as its a tight squeeze for my hand. ALSO make sure u unclip the wires that go through the inlet manifold (i think there are 4) before you pull the manifold off.

Shoot me a PM if you have any trouble and just so you know i have a new inlet manifold gasket from toyota that i can post to you
