    Default 4AGE16v in AE92

my sistera 4afe has shit itself and we want to fit a 4AGE 16V in place. Straight swap? what do I need to change, flywheel the same clutch I know mounts are the same what about exhaust etc. Before anybody askes yes I have used the search function and it only seems to bring up 20V and 4AGZE.

Obviously there will be a tiny amount of diffrerence if its going to be a Bigport (early 4age) or a smallport .. but SFA

    straight swap, minus -

Some wiring, couple of hours max - engine loom to dash/body

Exhaust will need a patch up to connect the 4age headers/secondaries to the rest of the sys.

Obviously you need a 4age computer ( i have a small port computer you can have for a small fee.).

Gearbox fly n clutch should all be the same as you stated (use a new clutch and get the flywheel faced and couldn't hurt to be balanced either).

If i have missed anything someone should be able to clear it up, but that's pretty much it.

    hope it helps buddy.

    Case

PS: swap a gze into it instead

if you only have 1000 bucks then forget about it, that probably won't even cover the cost of the engine unless you get really lucky, 4AGEs were thin on the ground when i bought mine 4 years ago and i doubt they have got more common or cheaper now.

The clutch may be the same, but either used the clutch that comes with your 4AGE or get a new one and a new pressure plate, flywheel machined etc, makes sense to do this as you will have the engine out anyway, change the thrust bearing too.

Make sure you don;t use a RWD engine, these are super rare but its worth mentioning.
