Packy, The 22K and 1uF, do add a delay but from is was very small ( T=R.C T=(22000*.000001) t=22mS)
We didnt notice a 1-2 second delay in our unit, but the unit need the link in place to operate correctly else the relay will switch at 160Hz which may cause other problems, our one is still running with no problems

I have heard people are using a tachometric relay in place of the cct.

yes tachometric relays are much less hassle
all lpg tachometric relays are pos output trigger
the old vk holden ones are negative but they are old

i got custom ones made up so i can fit them to most older toyotas like cressidas
then i dont have to fk around with factory cressida wiring on the COR
and can make plug in loom much easier

Wilbo, can you recall PWM frequency on the FPC output?

I have to limit my fuel pump in performance, especially on idle. There's excessive line pressure, looks like stock regulator can't manage excessive flow (1jz-ge, 160lph pump). Got UCF10 fuel computer to try, but have no idea what's its native frequency. Assume anything up to 1kHz. Won't go the resistor way because of excessive heat.

    Sorry I can't say that I do.

    Cheers

ok, would probably post some results in my car build thread. There're too much things involved in the pressure buildup, I'll start with brand new regulator and will gradually lower fuel pump power , would also check for bends in return line , etc

Just built wilbo666's circuit and it worked perfectly! Cheers

I've been thinking about this. I don't have a COR in my set-up and have just been using an IGN trigger for the fuel pump relay.

How would Wilbo's circuit react to a 12V input? I think it will trigger fine as per normal, to send an earth to the COR (or relay as I would like to wire it). Any reason that a couple of diodes on the circuit trigger feeds, one from the PFC and one from the STA (ignition switch) the circuit will trigger the relay during start and then continue as per normal with the engine running.

I don't believe the FPC output would be an issue running through a diode, but I guess this might need to be tested.

    Any thoughts?

My experience is that the FPC output from the engine ECU comes 'on' as soon as the engine starts cranking... there is no reason to need to send STA signal to trigger the realy as well...

That said the circuit will work fine with a 12V input. If you're going to use a diode on the FPC signal then I'd use a low loss diode, like a BAT46...

Great info thanks mate. You were correct circuit works with 12v input no issue. I made it as small as I could to try and fit inside a relay case.

And the mess I've created and will be fixing

*EDIT* Thumbs up.... Fired first flick of the switch.
